Security Measures
It is prohibited by law to carry dangerous materials in both checked and hand baggage. Such materials include explosives, flammable liquids, radioactive materials and poisons, loaded firearms, pressurised gases, as well as corrosive and oxidising substances.
Information regarding the transport of weapons and ammunition is provided by the airline upon passenger request.
LIST OF PROHIBITED ARTICLES – CABIN BAGGAGE
The categories below describe prohibited items that must not be carried into the security-restricted area or critical zone of the airport, or into the aircraft cabin, unless prior authorisation has been granted by the relevant state authorities.
a) Firearms and other items capable of discharging projectiles or causing serious injury
- All types of firearms
- Toy guns and all replica or imitation weapons
- Individual firearm components, excluding optical sights
- Air rifles and gas pistols
- Bows and arrows, crossbows
- Starter and signal pistols, bolt and nail guns
- Animal humane killers, catapults and slingshots
- Incapacitating devices (stun guns), lighters shaped like weapons
b) Sharp / pointed objects
- Axes, cleavers, harpoons, darts, ice picks
- Knives, razors, blades and scissors with blades longer than 6 cm
- Martial arts equipment, sabres and swords
- Walking sticks with spikes, ski poles
c) Tools
- Crowbars, drills, tools with blades longer than 6 cm
- Chainsaws, soldering irons
d) Blunt instruments
- Baseball bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, billiard cues
- Police batons, paddles, skateboards
- Nunchucks, knuckle dusters
e) Explosives and flammable substances
- Ammunition, detonators, explosive devices
- Mines, grenades, gases in containers
- Pyrotechnics, flammable materials, spray paint, alcohol over 70%
f) Chemical and toxic substances
- Acids, alkalis and corrosive substances
- Tear gas, radioactive materials, poisons, infectious materials
- Fire extinguishers
g) Liquids
Liquids may be carried in containers of up to 100 ml, placed in one sealed, transparent plastic bag with a maximum capacity of 1 litre.
This includes gels, pastes, lotions, pressurised containers, perfumes, shaving foam, deodorants, etc.
Larger quantities are permitted for medical purposes, baby food, or liquids purchased in the duty-free area (with proof).
