Croatian airline ETF Airways today (12 November 2025) presented its new ATR 72-600 aircraft, the fourth in its fleet, announcing an expansion of its operations and the establishment of a new operational base in Zadar.
This decision marks an important step in the company’s further development and confirms its long-term presence in Croatia.
Alongside the presentation of the new aircraft, ETF Airways announced the launch of ETF Technics, a new company specializing in aircraft technical maintenance and the development of safety standards. ETF Technics will be headquartered in Zadar, contributing to the development of local aviation infrastructure and the creation of new jobs in the technical sector.
The company is also expanding its business through ETF Travel, a travel agency focused on supporting aviation professionals and organizing charter flights.
The CEO of ETF Airways, Mr. Stjepan Bedić, stated:
“We want Croatia to become an aviation powerhouse that provides high-quality and recognizable services to clients from all over the world.”
The Director of Sales for Europe at ATR, Mr. Kjetil Astad, said:
“We are extremely pleased that ATR is returning to Croatia. This aircraft will contribute to better regional connectivity and economic development, while providing passengers with the experience of flying on the latest generation of aircraft. At the same time, by reducing CO₂ emissions by one third, it will enable sustainable and responsible growth of air traffic.”
The Director of Zadar Airport, Mr. Josip Klišmanić, stated:
“With this, we are starting a new partnership that we see as a great opportunity for development. Our goal is to contribute to the local community and encourage the development of the aviation industry through education, the university, and the airport. I am confident that through joint efforts we will demonstrate how Zadar can become a center for aviation development in Croatia.”
