Project Objective
To replace part of the existing aircraft ground handling and turnaround system powered by fossil fuels with electrically powered equipment, and to ensure an environmentally friendly system for supplying aircraft and ground equipment with energy from renewable sources, with the aim of reducing harmful emissions. The project represents the first step towards a long-term goal: the creation of the first energy-independent airport.
Expected Results
- Fixed electrical ground power units for parked aircraft
- Replacement of diesel-powered mobile equipment with electric equipment
- Construction of a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 610 kW
