Ryanair Opens Base in Zadar for Summer 2021

Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline, today (July 1) celebrates the reopening of its base in Zadar. With two based aircraft, 78 weekly flights to 37 destinations – including as many as 17 new routes – the reopening of the base will connect Zadar with numerous international destinations across Europe starting today. As vaccination programs continue across Europe and the peak summer season approaches, this development will further boost air traffic and tourism in Zadar County.

Croatian customers can already book their well-deserved holidays from Zadar to popular European destinations such as Rome, Paris, Milan, Dublin, Edinburgh, Budapest, and others, at the lowest fares, and can also take advantage of free flight changes in case their travel plans change.

Speaking at the base opening, Ryanair’s Director of Marketing and Digital, Dara Brady, said:

“We are delighted to be in Croatia to reopen our base in Zadar. Air travel is ready for take-off again at the peak of the tourist season in July and August, and with 17 new routes and a total of 37 routes, our Croatian customers have more than enough choice of destinations for their long-awaited summer holidays. Given that COVID restrictions are constantly changing, our customers can book their flights now and, in the event of a delay to their travel plans, change their booking to any other flight twice free of charge until the end of this year.

To celebrate the official opening of our Zadar base and the launch of 17 new summer routes, we are launching a seat sale with fares starting from just HRK 151 for travel until the end of October 2021, which must be booked by Saturday, July 3 at midnight. As seats at these incredibly low fares are expected to sell out quickly, customers should visit our website at www.ryanair.com and book soon.”

The Director of Zadar Airport, Josip Klišmanić, also addressed those present:

“We are extremely pleased that Europe’s largest airline has continued its long-standing successful cooperation with us and reopened its base in Zadar, further connecting our city and Croatia with as many as 37 destinations. Over the past 14 years, Ryanair has been and remains the main partner of Zadar Airport. The return of the base with 37 routes, 17 of them new, during a challenging season in which we must fight for every passenger, is not only good news but also a confirmation of our excellent cooperation, which we hope to continue in the future.”
