At this year’s Routes Awards, held in Las Vegas, USA, Zadar Airport has been nominated for Best Airport in the category of airports handling up to 5 million passengers.
With this nomination, Zadar Airport has been placed among the prestigious group of the world’s best and highest-quality airports. In the category of 5 to 10 million passengers, the nominated airports include Brussels, Tampa, Copenhagen, and Singapore; in the 10 to 17.5 million category, Munich, Rome, Athens, and Vienna; and in the category of over 17.5 million passengers, San Francisco, Cancun, Dubai, and Frankfurt. In the airline category, the nominees are American Airlines, KLM, Qatar Airways, Volotea, and Wizz Air.
In the category of up to 5 million passengers, alongside Zadar Airport, the nominated airports are Nuremberg, Edinburgh, and Larnaca.
The nomination itself represents a great recognition, as it comes from aviation industry professionals and is awarded at the global Routes 2022 event, which brings together the world’s most important airlines and airports.
