Historic One Million Passengers Marked by Welcoming the Millionth Passenger

Zadar Airport marked an exceptional achievement today. For the first time in its 54-year history, the airport served its one millionth passenger. This milestone was reached on Ryanair arrival flight FR6464 from Brussels, and the lucky passenger was Julie Fisser, a 26-year-old from Belgium.

On this occasion, Zadar Airport Director Josip Klišmanić presented the passenger with commemorative gifts and two return tickets from Zadar to a destination of her choice. Congratulating the passenger, Director Klišmanić emphasized the importance of the 2022 season, which he described as a turning point in the business operations of Zadar Airport.

“One million passengers, for the first time ever, and precisely in 2022 – after the COVID crisis, the major decline in traffic, and a difficult recovery – did not happen by chance. I am confident that great things lie ahead in the coming years, not only in terms of traffic growth, but also regarding the projects that will follow. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all employees of Zadar Airport, who truly deserve the greatest credit for this achievement,” said Director Josip Klišmanić.

The ceremonial event was attended by the Prefect of Zadar County, Božidar Longin, the Mayor of Zadar, Branko Dukić, and representatives of the Zadar City and County Tourist Boards.
